We are looking to hire a Sr. Financial Analyst in our Bowling Green, KY Hill’s Pet Nutrition plant! This person will be responsible for recording and monitoring plant financial transactions and provide decision support for plant and operational needs. They will provide systems and procedures that result in continuous improvement, adding to decision support and safeguarding company assets.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors cost reporting
  • Ensures the General Ledger is closed monthly
  • Ensures inventory movement is tracked within the plant and inventory transactions are recorded (raw materials, packaging, finished goods)
  • Prepares and monitors expense budget
  • Responsible for ensuring that appropriate safeguard controls are in place.
  • Functions as plant resources for cost studies
  • Ensures appropriate internal controls throughout the entire accounting process are in place
  • Perform SOX testing
  • Provides management support for forecasting
  • Promote budget mentality for expense owners
  • Coordinate estimation of variable and fixed expenses for the entire plant
  • Collaborate with CBS (Centralized Business Services) to perform rule based entries and month end reporting
  • Collaborate with Corporate to process cross charges
  • Responsible for role modeling the CP Values and Principles of Managing with Respect
  • Accountable for meeting or exceeding safety and quality standards
  • Other job functions that may be assigned

 

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Accounting
  • 5 years experience in Finance or Accounting at a manufacturing facility 
  • Experience managing people  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA
  • SAP, Google Suites applications (i.e., Gmail, calendar, sheets, docs, slides, drive)
  • High proficiency in computer and data-entry (access, input, and retrieve information from a computer)
     


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $94,000.00 - $133,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
